About the SSCE

The South Shore Collaborative on Employment (SSCE) is one of seven Regional Employment Collaboratives in the state. The SSCE is a partnership between service providers, government agencies, workforce development entities, and employers working toward one common goal – to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

The South Shore Collaborative on Employment (SSCE) brings together the resources of its member organizations to effectively engage area businesses to generate employment opportunities. This improves access to employment for job seekers throughout the region. State agencies and service provider organizations started the SSCE in 2012 and it has continued to grow throughout the years. The SSCE welcomes new partner organizations to help us advance our mission together. The SSCE has different levels of involvement.

Job Developers Network: This is an opportunity to share resources to grow your network of opportunities for your job seekers.

The Job Developers exchange employment opportunities for job seekers and discuss the career needs of job seekers. Each job developer can benefit from trainings and other professional development activities along with hearing from guest speakers.

Steering Committee: This group of leaders serves as the advisory committee for the SSCE and supports the efforts of the Job Developers Network and the Employer Liaison. These are typically individuals in leadership roles within their organization who help set the path of the SSCE.

Community Partner: This is a general collaborating partner organization that joins in sharing resources and support on an as-needed basis.
